Ask Managing Partner, Internet Advertising, Sean Neely: April 2010 Managing Internet Advertising Partner Sean Neely answers a support question.Consultant Question: How is the internet advertising initiative progressing? Sean Neely's response: Thanks for asking! We just topped 200,000 web pages of franchise specific pages that we can use for our pay per click advertising program. The typical page houses one large display ad, five smaller display ads, and at least two text ads, all on the right hand margin of the page. The advertisement is specific to both the geographic area of the user and the content of the page. If you did the math, and I'm sure you did, that equals almost TWO MILLION ads open for business daily. The way this program works for our advertisers is quite simple: pay for performance only. When someone clicks on the ad, the advertiser is charged a pre-arranged fee. It can be as small as pennies or as large as several dollars depending on the product, the competition, and the client they are seeking. Every time one of these ads gets a hit, our cash register rings at headquarters. As we grow our network and the number of pages increases, our revenue increases. Simply put, more Affiliates equals more advertising dollars to support the network. I would like to take credit for inventing this concept of supporting the business through advertising on the internet, but will have to take a back seat to www.Google.com, www.NBC.com, www.Facebook.com, www.USAToday.com and several thousand other very savvy marketing companies. This week www.Twitter.com announced they are finally profitable…..you guessed it….through pay per click ads on the site. I know the competition hates it, but we have the 21st century solution to the means of supporting our network of Affiliates without dipping into their pockets. The only people that love this program more than I love it are the Franchise Alliance team members. Our legendary support for our broker team is directly correlated to the growth of the company. Who says that bigger can't be better? We have combined this internet advertising initiative with our Franchise Partner division to create the only truly complete franchise consulting company in the country. We can create the franchise, advertise the franchise or service, and then plug into America's favorite franchise broker network and sell the franchise. Now let's get back to the business at hand. |
