Ask Vice-President Don Daszkowski: March 2010 Vice-President Don Daszkowski answers a growth question.Consultant Question: Our goal is to be the largest franchise consulting agency? Are we there yet? Don Daszkowski's response: In terms of number of Affiliates we are close and closing fast, and in terms of number of franchises represented we are the clear leader with over 350! Most industry analysts have already tabbed Franchise Alliance number one overall when ranked by number of active consultants and successful placement criteria. With the acquisition of FranExpert and the Marc Stephens team this month our number of active Affiliates now exceeds 200 and continues to grow! We have an exclusive internet lead generation machine operated as a co-op for our consultant group that will support over 350 active consultants, allowing us continued uninterrupted growth opportunities over the next two years. I am not aware of any industry that offers that type of expansion opportunity. The reasons for this are two-fold. First of all, franchising is expanding rapidly. The number of companies nationally available has virtually doubled in the last ten years. Also the overall consultant market share has gone from 5% to 35% in that same period. An expanding share of an expanding pie equals enormous growth potential. Outsourcing of the advertising, qualifying, and recruiting of franchise prospects has been the reason for our market share increase. Simply put, the franchise consultant has a much more efficient business model than a franchise alone. Advertising, qualifying, and matching the perfect business cost the same for a consultant or an individual franchise company….but we have over 350 arrows in our quiver to make a perfect fit….the franchise has one! It only stands to reason that eventually most of the business will be routed through a consultant. The best estimates right now are an increase to 70% of all franchise sales going through brokers in the next five years. Incredibly our business is forecast to double in the next five years! The Franchise Alliance goal is to add those quality individuals with the articulate, educated, intelligent, and organized approach to business that will carry us forward into this new age of the consultant. Now let's get back to the business of becoming the 900 pound gorilla of the franchise consulting world! |
